Learn how to safely return to exercise after childbrith

Specialised New Mum Classes

This 6-week program is designed to safely and effectively return women to exercise after having a baby. In collaboration with local Women's Health Physio's and led by the go-to Mums trainer in the Eastern Suburbs, Lou Barter, this program will help you learn how to move and nourish your postpartum body.

Pelvic Floor Friendly

No matter what type of birth a woman has had, the pelvic floor has been put through a lot over the past 9 months.


Our classes involve a strong pelvic floor focus to ensure you are learning how to retrain this muscle for an effective recovery.


At Mums: Redefined, we are passionate about educating women around their new postpartum bodies as quite often, once bub comes along, mum is forgotten about. Each week you will recieve a video and accompanying email covering different topics.

Abdominal Seperation

At the start and end of the program, you will receive an abdominal separation assessment and education about correctly activating your abdominal muscles.

Please note, we strongly recommend you see your women's health physio for a comprehensive postpartum check up.

  • 6 x 60min in-person classes (babies and children are welcome to come)

  • 7 weekly live zoom classes to choose from via The Mum Movement Hub

  • Access to workout recordings for you to do at a time that suits you

  • Weekly video and/or PDF covering exercises and info for you to implement at home

  • Abdominal separation check and monitoring

  • Pelvic floor safe exercises

  • Functional "mum life" exercises

Week 4: Strength training vs. cardio with Lou Barter, PT for Mums

Week 5: Sleep, Mental Health and Exercise with Cheryl Fingleson, The Sleep Coach

Week 6: Body Confidence with Louise Hurley, The Body Resilient Mum Project
